In order to implement the "student-centered"idea in the higher education popularization phase, paying attention to the individual differences and developing the potential advantages of each student have become increasingly necessary. The development of information technology has created good conditions for personalized education such as cloud computing and big data mining,which provided strong support for learning prediction and behavior intervention.The characteristics of openness, interactivity, personalization and globalization of big data era make personalized education become the trend of world education reform.Therefore, how to improve the quality of talents training and the level of university scientific management with educational data mining and learning analysis, is the new direction of the institutional research practitioners.Chinese Association for Institutional Research will held an international conference with the theme of“Institutional Research and Personalized Education in Big Data Era”, cooperating with Guangxi Normal University in Guilin, Guangxi ,China from July 15 to July 17,2018.Somes pecialists from United States, United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Japan and other countries will attend this conference and share their latest research.
